Ian Dutton has run the Miller Howe Café for many years, originally under the auspices of John Tovey's Miller Howe Hotel, and latterly having taken over the premises on the retirement of John Tovey.


Formerly the Head Chef at the Miller Howe Hotel, Ian brought his culinary magic and flair and transformed the Café into a special place to enjoy his wonderful food.



Tastefully and imaginatively decorated, the Café offers a range of food to suit all tastes and pockets. Offering waitress service, the Café serves a choice of refreshments every day of the week, making it an ideal stopping point for visitors to the Windermere area.


Centrally situated within the retail store of Lakeland Limited in Windermere, the Café is within a few metres walk of Windermere Railway station with bus services nearby.
