Some emails don't get sent
« on: October 14, 2009, 04:12:31 PM »
I'm finding that when I send an email, that some of them don't get sent.

Here's what happens. I send the email, it ends up in the Sent mail folder, but it never gets received.

I've tried CC-ing myself and those don't come back.

Any ideas?

Jim

If it's in your Sent folder then TB! has sent it to the SMTP server  you use. Not receiving it or the CC version is not a fault with TB!, it's what's happening to the email after you've sent it.

My guess is that it's being intercepted by a spam filter somewhere - there are still some clueless server setups which treat all TB! email as spam (see here for why: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/spammer.html).

Could you try sending a test email to one of the addresses you know it doesn't reach and bcc me into it please? (See envelope icon under my name to the left for my email address.) If it reaches me then I can see the server path and may be able to help with where it's getting blocked.
Cheers!
Anne
