Hmmm I'm not sure if it's possible to do that. Which version of The Bat! are you using, and are your accounts connecting via POP or IMAP?
Hi Anne,
Thanks for helping out again!
I'm using v. 1.61
The accounts are using POP3.
After visiting here I moved over to Ritlabs official forum and found someone who had asked a very similar question.
He got a reply saying that it wasn't possible to set The bat to download from a certain date.
You must let The Bat do at least one download on its own, and after that it knows which messages to download from then on.
The reply said there was a workaround, which involved logging onto the server via web-mail, creating a second folder, moving the unwanted messages to the second folder leaving the just the ones you want to download.
But the reply also said it was quite time-consuming to do.
The OP came back and said he solved his problem by changing to IMAP.
I changed my settings for the accounts to IMAP but nothing was downloaded at all.
For me it was important to avoid downloading over 1000 messages because I was literally down to less than 1M on my 4G solid state drive.
I bit the bullet, and somehow managed to download all of the messages after deleting a ton of older messages.
All is well once again, kind of.
